In the midst of the changing landscape of workspaces, home has never been more intertwined with all the other elements of life. Challenged by this, the design takes Scanteak’s ethos of the importance of family and manifests it in the workspace and showroom. The design takes the form of multiple distinct 2 to 3 story “homes”, enclosed within itself never directly connected to other units. We took both elements surrounding and inside the typical home, crafting spatial experiences congruent to the theme of homes. Externally, spaces like courtyards and airwells are emulated, reducing the intimidating scale of the office block. Internally these “homes” are equipped with all office amenities such as pantries, common spaces and meeting rooms. Creating a sense of privacy and ownership for the users of each unit, a true home within a building.
